I am licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Professional Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling from Fairfield University. I have enjoyed assisting individuals in the area of counseling and mentorship for over 20 years and have gained great insight into the importance of this helping relationship. Many people are suffering with mental illness, addiction, self-esteem, depression, anxiety and much more. Counseling provides an opportunity to work through these situations and to begin to enjoy a greater sense of well-being.
As a Licensed Counselor, my professional experience includes providing individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention and cognitive-behavioral therapy to diverse populations. I am willing and committed to helping you build healthy relationships, positive attachments, and problem-solving skills to enhance and develop your personal and professional outlook.
I chose the counseling profession because I enjoy people. I enjoy listening, learning, and helping individuals process their own worldviews. The counseling relationship should empower everyone to work through their unique situations, then develop skills to manage and cope in healthy and more fulfilling ways, I will assist in this process. During each session, the individual should become more aware and enlightened to the possibilities and benefits of change, versus the consequences of staying the same, and we will work toward this goal together. Cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focus therapy teaches the idea of change through positive thinking and behavior modification, and we will use these evidence-based techniques to help you gain a better outlook.
